Day 1 – Town planning

The twelve days of Craft City is a series of articles made to explain the major functionalities of the game twelve days before the official launch. These articles are open to all and will still be available after the game’s release date.

When you first step into the game, you are appointed the mayor of a neighborhood inside the vast city known as Craft City. Your task is to take this land and bring it to new heights by establishing residential and industrial districts.

A neighborhood is made of hexagonal tiles where your town hall is located right in the middle. Each tile you own can contain different props like roads or buildings. They represent the segmentation of land citizens can live on.

The only exception is your town hall. It is a special building, owned by you, containing your office but also the place where all citizens come to pay their taxes. Periodically, the money will be gathered here for you to grab.

To be able to properly plan your neighborhood, the game provides you with a toolbox containing everything you need. Think carefully as the placement of roads and buildings can have an enormous impact on the industry you are trying to establish.

It is relevant to take note that roads are paid by the Craft City administration thus, are free for you to make. On the other hand, the buildings are your responsibility and you have to assume all related costs.

By knowing this, a great mayor will always find a way to create something wonderful that helps bring the town one step further.

Stay tuned for the Day 2 – Crafting of the Twelve days of Craft City 🎄
