Day 8 – Skins
The twelve days of Craft City is a series of articles made to explain the major functionalities of the game twelve days before the official launch. These articles are open to all and will still be available after the game’s release date.
A neighborhood contains a maximum of 331 tiles where something can be built on. With this many tiles, everything would look the same if, for example, you only fill them with lots and lots of apartment complexes. Your neighborhood would feel boring and nobody wants that. To help you diversify the look of your local industries, skins can be applied to each individual building to visually modify them.
An apartment complex can be transformed into a 5-stars resort or a mine and be changed to a dark gate that leads underground, probably straight to hell! These skins must be created through the workshop and the good thing is that there isn’t any limit on how many of them you can craft.
Each individual skin can be applied to only one building. If you have multiple buildings and want to visually change their look, you will need multiple skins to fit each one of them.
With the ton of skins available through the game, players have the opportunity to distinguish themselves from the others and compete to be the nicest looking neighborhood in the entire city!
