Day 10 – Rare find trader
The twelve days of Craft City is a series of articles made to explain the major functionalities of the game twelve days before the official launch. These articles are open to all and will still be available after the game’s release date.
Across daily operations, players will often be rewarded with rare finds. It can go from a new type of wood to electric furnaces and computer chips. These objects can be used in the workshop to craft many things.
At some point, players may need a certain type of rare find more than the other. Instead of promoting repetitiveness, the game matches the player with traders around the world who are willing to convert one type of item to another.
These traders aren’t necessarily inside the city. They can be called up from far away. There is always someone, somewhere, who is willing to trade objects with players. To prevent fraud, a regulation has been put in place by higher authorities to establish a fixed list of values when trading. For example, an electric furnace will always be valued more than a simple stone furnace.
It’s for you to discover what’s more valuable on the market. One thing to take note is that only rare finds of the same kind can be traded. Let’s say, a wooden rare find (like a maple log) can only be traded for another wooden rare find (such as a bamboo stick). This trading law has been put in place to keep a balance between traders around the world.
